Quesnelia liboniana Bromeliaceae - Ananasgewächse Heimat: Brasilien (Bahia, Rio de Janeiro). Die epiphytisch wachsenden Pflanzen besiedeln nur ein kleines Verbreitungsgebiet. Auffällig ist der Farbkontrast zwischen den roten Kelchblättern und den dunkelblau gefärbten Kronblättern des überhängenden Blütenstandes. Möglicherweise werden die Blüten durch Vögel bestäubt. Quesnelia liboniana is an epiphyte that occurs in a small range in the Brazil provinces of Bahia and Rio de Janeiro. Particular conspicuous is the contrast of colours between the red sepals and the dull blue petals. The flowers of the nodding inflorescence are perhaps pollinated by birds.
