Arabis nemorensis (Wolf ex Hoffm.) W. D. J. Koch

Distribution
Arabis nemorensis is a plant from Eastern Europe and western Siberia that has its western distribution boundary in Germany. The plants are from the vicinity of Vockerode (Saxony Anhalt).

Biology and growth
The plants are biennials or short-lived perennials with a dominant main root. Seed set is very high.

Conservation
Seeds are sown in late autumn in flat pots. For germination the seeds need some stratification by frost. Sometimes plants growing around the mother plant can be used for propagation. Later, the plants were cultivated in pots with a diameter of 12-13 cm. The plants are grown in garden soil with lots of loam and only a little bit of sand. The pots are watered sufficiently

Places of conservation
Plants are in the Botanical Gardens of Halle and at the Kapenmühle (Biosphere reserve: Mittlere Elbe).
