Clematis recta L.


Distribution
Clematis recta is a Eastern European species that has its northwestern distribution boundary in Germany. The plants are from the Wörlitzer Park area (World Heritage area).

Biology and growth
The plants is a slowly growing summer green perennial. In contrast to the congeners it is not climbing. It may become more than 2 m high.

Conservation
Seeds need to ripe completely on the mother plant. They germinate after longer exposure to frost. The plants are cultivated in garden soil. Additional water supply is generally not necessary.

Plants are at the Kapenmühle.
